Set in a small flat in Aberdare, We Were Meant For Bigger Things follows Elis and Hannah as love slowly collides with ambition. While Hannah dreams of a life beyond the South Wales Valleys, Elis finds comfort in the place he’s always called home. When Hannah is offered an acting job in London, the couple are forced to confront the question they’ve spent months avoiding: is love enough when two people want different futures?
Set over the course of one summer, this new Welsh play is a heartfelt exploration of identity, home, and the courage it takes to let go of the life you thought you were meant to live.
